Purcell Carp Classic Fishing Tournament

Join us for the 2021 Purcell Carp Classic Fishing Tournament at Purcell City Lake!  This tournament is a joint effort between the City of Purcell, Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, and local fishing enthusiast to control the carp population and help restore habitat in the lake.  Entry is $10.00 per person and you must be 10 years or older to enter!  Participants will be divided into conventional rod & reel and fly fishing divisions.  Proceeds from the tournament will go towards future conservation efforts at Purcell City Lake.  Over $1,000.00 in prizes!

History of the Tournament

In 2018, the City of Purcell Parks & Recreation Department partnered with Project Healing Waters OKC and Donavan Clary with Oklahoma Fly Fishing to host the first tournament.
