Message from the Chief

On behalf of the men and women of the Purcell Police Department, I welcome you to our website.

The Purcell Police Department is a dynamic, full-service police organization comprised of 22 certified police officers and 15 civilian staff. Each of our employees is dedicated to making a positive difference in our community.  At the forefront of our efforts is our philosophy of community policing and customer service. We believe that policing is a partnership between the police and the community and that no matter what you’re trying to accomplish, you can do it better with shared thinking. We encourage open communication with our citizens and actively seek their assistance in working toward our number one priority of making the City of Purcell a safer city. Our mission statement, which guides our department philosophy, reads:

“The Purcell Police Department, in alliance with our
community, provides public safety and promotes a high quality of life.”

With that said, I encourage you to explore our site and learn more about our current programs and department goals. It is my desire that through this site you will be better informed about upcoming police/community events, community crime trends, and the many services and opportunities our agency provides.
